NAME/SEX CHANGE

Who is allowed to change their name in Mexico?
People who can change their name in Mexico through the Civil Registry are those who claim to be victims of bullying or denigration due to the name they have, as well as having been exposed to violent situations as a result of ridicule or discrimination.
The second argument for being able to change their name in Mexico is that they now have a different sex with which they were registered at birth, as well as the change of nationality. A third option that people have for a name change is if there is a spelling error on their birth certificates.
The last option given by the Civil Registry to obtain a name change is that no official registration has been made before the government agency in question or that its registration is false.
